Celebrating Kristof's/WuDunn's "Half the Sky" in Portland, OR. Community Gathering, Wine Tasting and Fundraiser

Local Portland residents are organizing a book celebration, wine tasting and fund-raiser to increase awareness of Kristof's book, "Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide" and Mercy Corps' work on behalf of women in the developing world. We look forward to seeing all members from the local community who are passionate about womens' and girls' empowerment worldwide.
Cost: Event is $30 per person. Space is limited.

Later the same night, New York Times Columnist and native Oregonian, Nicholas Kristof will be at the Bagdad Theater at 7pm. He speaks about his new book, "Half the Sky:Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide," co-authored with his wife and fellow Pulitzer Prize winner, Sheryl WuDunn.
Make a full night of it. Plan to attend both events. Come to the Square Deal and then to the Bagdad Theater immediately after.
