Global Youth Economic Opportunities Conference (Wash., DC)

In just five years, this participatory and demand-driven learning event has become the "go to" conference for practitioners, funders, educators, policymakers, members of the private sector, and other professionals who design, implement, monitor, evaluate, and fund programs and policies in this field. Previous conferences have convened on average 400 participants from more than 50 countries. The 2012 learning tracks are: youth enterprise development; youth-inclusive financial services and capabilities; workforce development; monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment; and adolescent girls and young women.

As a direct result of participating in this conference, past participants have:

Gained new technical capacity;
Established new partnerships;
Gave or received invitations to submit funding proposals; and/or
Revamped programs and policies in response to information they obtained.
