Need: Send Supplies to Burma in a Journalist's Suitcase!

If anyone else living here in the Bay Area is looking for a way to support the people of Burma, let me know. A visiting environmental journalist here at the Berkeley J-school, Myint Zaw, is collecting supplies to take with him when he returns home to Burma next weekend.

He is asking people to leave supplies with Carolyn Wakeman, another j-school professor, in the North Gate Hall basement, room B34.

Myint is collecting the following (in bulk, if possible):

--water purification tablets
--folding water containers (for storage of clean water)
--any kind of nutritious crackers
--additional vitamin supplies

The deadline for this collection is May 17, as he will be flying back the next day.

For more information, visit Myint Zaw's blog documenting his stay at the
J-School, stories and travels.
