I live in Brooklyn, New York and in September will be starting a graduate program at Columbia University (School of International and Public Affairs). My studies will focus on economic development and women's health, continuing my commitment to the political, economic, and social equity and advancement of women and girls. For the past six years I have worked with organizations committed to these goals and am excited to be joining the World Pulse community as a development consultant for the east coast.
I recently completed work on the Women Moving Millions campaign – a historic Initiative launched by Helen LaKelly Hunt and Swanee Hunt to encourage women donors to give at the $1M and above to women’s foundations. The campaign raised more than $180 million for women and girls around the world. Three years ago I co-founded (and now co-chair) the Supporting Women Artists Project (SWAP). SWAP is a Brooklyn-based non-profit organization that provides free studio space to women artists in exchange for their mentoring public school students who do not have access to art education. I am also a proud member of the Third Wave Foundation - a national feminist foundation that support young women and transgender youth through strategic grantmaking, leadership development, and philanthropic advocacy. I am excited to bring my experiences from these different spaces to World Pulse as I learn from the wealth of knowledge and experience brought forth from each of you!
