World Pulse

Ila Asplund is a Mistress of Amalgamation and a True-Beauty Seeker with an eye to social justice for and by women. As the Communications Director at World Pulse, she supports local and global outreach, web communications, and manages concept and production of informational materials, channeling the innovation of her team and our worldwide women’s community into World Pulse products. Her love of music, languages, and art has translated professionally into: educational software and internet training/development (from tiny independent businesses to giants like Amazon.com); international language and literacy teaching of teachers; and marketing vision/planning/implementation for providers of women’s self-defense and domestic violence prevention. She wrapped up her B.A. from the University of Washington, Seattle while living in Uganda. She speaks conversational Bahasa Indonesia and French. She surfs like a kook in the icy waters off the Oregon Coast and is constantly stoked by the enthusiasm that surrounds World Pulse’s vision.
