Diane DeVillers (1/3)

Read my three books in "The Eve Chronicles" in paperback book by Diane DeVillers, you may know her as girlpower on worldpulse. Eve moves West and starts working as a forester in the Wallowa Mountains in Eastern Oregon. Join her in the journey of living in her tent in some of the most remote wilderness near the notorious 'Hell's Canyon. She lives in a camp of mismatched foresters doing timber inventory. Before too long Eve becomes known as "Queen of the comback" It's the first book called "From the Waters of Coyote Springs"Eve is trying to find her place in the world.

The second book "Felix and Eve" is when Eve moves to the coastal town of Gold Beach and works as a live in caregiver to an elderly man who is recovering from heart by-pass surgery. Eve spends the summer with the cantankerous Felix. Every night out on the porch she and Felix play cards and he starts to tell her about the days when he worked for Al Capone in the early days of prohibition in Chicago. Two people from very different generations come to find they have more in common than they first thought. He is set in his ways, and she is a go with the flow, counterculture, free bird.

The third book in "The Eve Chronicles" is called "The Arrangement" and its about the now reitred baby boomer Eve who now lives on her property on Moon Mountain in the hipster town of Eugene Oregon in the Willamette Valley. Vinnie lives in a yurt in her back yard. They play music together. He is a landscaper and helps her with her many flower and vegetable gardens. Once a year Eve gets the same letter with the same skeleton key in it. She takes off to Catalina Island for the rest of the summer, leaving Vinnie behind as caretaker. Vinnie is in love with Eve but remains silent.

Eve visits a former lover who has multiple sclerosis. In an oceanside bungalow she enjoys the Pacific Ocean and the mystical island of Catalina, where Natalie Wood came to her life's end in the harbor.

The three books are also available seperately in ebook format.
