Welcome to our Poto Mitan: Rebuilding Haiti Community Forum

Bonjour and Welcome!

My name is Anne-christine d'Adesky and I'm a member of the World Pulse and PulseWire communities. I'm also a member of a new group and globla initiative, Poto Mitan: Rebuilding Haiti that is bringing together Haitian and diaspora women leaders and global feminists to collectively advocate for an urgent response to the needs of Haitian women and girls in the wake of the January 12 earthquake.

On behalf of my colleagues in the Poto Mitan: Rebuilding Haiti group, we invite you to share with us your thoughts on Women and Girls and the Rebuilding of Haiti - and your actions, campaigns, experiences, visions.

We will share the ideas that are coming forward, and will also use this platform to engage a broad global and the PulseWire/World Pulse communities to join with us for a powerful collective response to the urgent crisis facing Haiti and Haitians, including women and girls and community groups. We also want to focus on the need to bring forward the leadership, vision and insights of Haitian women and girls, and the ladership of the Haitian women's movement.

For those of you new to PulseWire, please note that the Navigation Bar (above) has a Translate Page button and the new beta Haitian Creole (Kreyol) language has been added to the list of languages. We urge you to spread the word about this new global initiative, and this forum - to invite women and men and organizations working in support of women's participation and rights in Haiti and around the world.

Looking forward to the conversation...
