WHERE I AM NOW: MY VISION AND HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT ME

My vision broke-through after the World Pulse Live media speaking tour in five cities of the United States in October 2011. Throughout this tour, my message was basically my life experience and my perception of what I want of my world.
My education was a miracle of course, HIV ruined my family as well and our family land was at risk as a result. The more I shared my experience and passion, the closer I came to my dream.

Today I am the founder of Rural Girl Child Mentorship Uganda (RGCM Uganda),a one on one girl-to-mentor project aimed at empowering less privileged Ugandan girls through financial assistance for continued education, shared knowledge and wisdom, and creative thinking. Each rural Ugandan girl is connected to a mentor who helps nurture their vision for a brighter future.- http://worldpulse.com/node/48881.
RGCM Uganda is a project under a registered grassroots NGO– Pearl Community Empowerment Foundation (PCE-Foundation). Other projects under PCE Foundation includes Schools and Communities Sensitization, Food Security, The New Peacepal (pen pal project), Health(HIV and Malaria), and Local micro finance projects.

I have empathy for girls http://worldpulse.com/node/48232 to attain education for future economic empowerment and independence. Ten years ago, I had little hope of attaining an education or acquiring a decent job. After staying home for two years due to a lack of school fees, I was extremely fortunate to find a mentor in the United States who helped me finish my high school education and continued to support me in many ways while I pursued my dream of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.I have graduated. From a family of 12 we are only 3 ladies alive, I have lost all my 7 brothers and I sister to HIV, one sister also died when giving birth to twins but because I am educated, all is not lost, today I have a good job and I am able to support my mother and my 17 nieces and nephews. I am also able to assist my community. Therefore education is very important to me and to girls struggling with life, the underprivileged.

Today we have 38 mentors http://worldpulse.com/node/48881 from Australia, Europe and the United States supporting 40 less privileged girls go to school as well as mentoring them. These mentors are equally in touch with each other, working together ways of having this project create great impact to the universe.
Four of these mentors from Australia and Germany are visiting with the mentees and the project here in Uganda this month of August, 2012.

We are still recruiting more girls, as a result, we are also still looking for more mentors to make this project have a greater impact to our world.

Three requests I place before you today if you have a choice are as follows;
1. We are looking for more mentors, please join us.
2. We need volunteers and advisors to help us run this project strategically and successfully
3. We looking for funders/donors and partnerships for and with our organization -Pearl Community Empowerment Foundation (PCE-Foundation).
