One Good COVID – 19

The COVID-19 has exposed how weak we are as Human beings. At the end, what matters is Oxygen, something in HIS/HER wisdom gave unlimited and interestingly free for all.

We ignored having time with the Family and Children.

Building Structures and strengthening the Institutions were not given the needed attention. Interestingly, African politicians who yester years were flying to Europe and the Americas for Hospitalization when sick can no more. We all must visit same Hospitals when we are sick.

In Ghana the Women are the bread winners for many homes, home incomes that form the foundation of the Economy. These women are sadly not given proper recognition.

Our Government has put COVID – 19 rules and partial lockdown in some parts of the Country. Primarily, to promote social distancing for at least 2 meters. The question is, how effective and efficient is social distancing in an Economy like Ghana?

The Government has mandated National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) to provide food to the poor and needy. Unfortunately, the food distribution grounds are fertile to spread the Corona Virus. They have abandoned gathering in Churches, Mosques, Funeral etc. but have created more fertile grounds to spread the Corona Virus. It does not make sense to bring a crowd of 100 to 500 uncontrolled together under pretext of disturbing food which according sources has created avenues for corruption.

The good is, we have been exposed. Our Structures and Institutions are not working, and they need without further delay refurbishment.

Government must give governing back to the people.

The Best good is, we realize the importance of contributions made by our Mothers, Sisters, Antes, In laws, and most lovely our wives. That also, we continue to give time to our immediate families even we are no more working from Home.

“Medaase” Akan meaning Thank you
