Hello Adanna,

This sounds like a great app! Thank you for increasing awareness surrounding pregnancy apps, as they are not frequently popularized or recognized in the media. Education is especially vital during pregnancy for women, as many may have grown up without learning what to expect and how to handle such drastic changes to their minds and bodies. Thank you for clearly highlighting the uses and functions of this app.

With warm wishes,

Helen Ng

Whoa thanks for sharing. What a way to reduce pregnancy stress? Getting answers to questions or knowledge in advance for a situation makes the psychological pressures of pregnancy less on the woman. My dear how can a rural woman benefit from this App?

Hi! Thanks for sharing!

Another one to add to the list is the Hesperian's Safe Pregnancy and Birth app. Like their other health guides, it is designed for, and has been tested with, people in developing countries. It is available for free download for both Apple and Android devices and there are links to all the downloads at http://hesperian.org/books-and-resources/safe-pregnancy-and-birth-mobile-app/

'Available in English and Spanish, Hesperian’s comprehensive app on pregnancy and birth contains a wealth of information on: •how to stay healthy during pregnancy •how to recognize danger signs during pregnancy, birth, and  after birth •what to do when a danger sign arises •when to refer a woman to emergency care •instructions for community health workers with step-by-step explanations such as “How to take blood pressure,” “How to treat someone in shock,” “How to stop bleeding.”'

Hi Adanna

You are welcome! Yes, its great when things are available in languages other than English. Google Translate (and similar services) can be very helpful, but they don't always get everything 100% correct.
