Nostalgia…

A few more days and VOF 2011 program will come to a close for us the Applicants. I have had a lot of precious moments here on World Pulse and I’m feeling sad and empty already at the thought of what will and may change.

I will remember Rachel and Scott’s deadline reminders and the scampering and time watching that follows.

I will remember their announcements of the new week’s classroom going live and the jitters it sends down my spine.

I will remember the 500 words limit and the word count tool :-)

I will remember all the Applicants and their stories of courage from around the globe.

I will remember the educative stories, the insightful ones, those that inspired me and the ones that made me smile; made me tear eyed and left me musing.

I will remember the friends I have made and will continue to make.

I will remember Marissa’s cheers, Usha’s heartwarming comments, Stella’s e-hugs, VC’s holiday gist, Enamara’s Solar sisters, Madube’s consciousness, Nezed’s dancing brags and Zoneziwoh’s passion.

I will remember YOU! YES, YOU reading this post right now!

I will remember your drive for excellence, your determination to make a change, your resolution to stand for others and your courage to speak up!

I will remember you because of your burning desire for change! Without it, you wouldn’t be reading this.

I will remember the connections we’ve made, the encouragement we’ve given, the people we’ve met and the relationships we’ve built.

Whatever the result of this process, no matter who is chosen and who is not, whoever you are, no matter your colour or race, I will remember you for making the last four weeks of my life a memorable one…

VOF 2011 is coming to a close but please don’t close the door on our friendship, our bond and our dreams.

I will remember you. I promise…I will
