Am a registered midwife currently running a program as individual in slums and rural areas, offering education to young women and mothers in topics such as health care, complications in abortions, promotion of equal rights for women, contraception and dangers of early marriage.
In Kenya, young women and girls who become pregnant are sometimes subject to stigmatisation and isolation from their families and partners and then face particularly serious challenges, especially when it comes to caring for their children.
I provide professional education, mentorship and information on health issues therefore play an important role.
I therefore request your support to enable me to reach a substantial number of teenage mothers who suffer silently with no help country wide and at the same time provide bursary to the girls who gave birth to go back to school & college.
