Yesterday I visited a certain community and the problems I identified broke my heart into pieces . Women using lessos during their periods and later burry underground.Teenage pregancies is at its peak. When girls miss schools and other important social events when on their periods they miss out in important segments of their lives denying them equal opportunity with their peers hence leaving them steps behind which with time build up to miles which they will be unable to recover. The social shame that is associated with periods need not be faced by anyone especially in an age that mobilization of resources can be scaled and implemented using social media, community networks and mainstream media, and a good team of sisters like us I would wish to help them but I am not in a position to. I would really wish to see that no girl is left behind

Hello, Alaine,
What you share is heartbreaking indeed. Access to menstrual hygiene kits should be a government priority. Easier said than done. :(
I agree that there is no shame on menstrual blood. It's the symbol of women capable of giving life. Thank you for raising your voice on this issue.
Hello Karen.
It is heartbreaking in deed.

Thanks for sharing.
Now we can help and reach out.
Thanks for all that you do
Dear Alaine
Thanks dear for the efforts you are making. It is so sad to read this touching story. One way to help these girls and women is to educate them on reusable sanitary pads and teach them how to stitch their own pads. Its cost effective and can help them have pads all the time.
Courage

I associate Menstrual with mood swings and no white pants. It pains to know that it is a bigger issue for others. Thanks for sharing.
