Breaking free

My diary my companion, my sanity
My squiggly scribbles just so squiggly
Precaution to stop others from discovery
My diary I kept writing in short codes in secrecy

My diary full of random words
No meaning it will hold for anyone I ensured
My diary and its words – just words!
Brings the nightmares alive – leaving me drained!

My diary then, after years, transforms
Paper to screen. Squiggly words to veiled sentences
My diary and I, now we have privacy from the ‘spies’
Through password, files saved on those cumbersome floppies

My diary yet again, it transforms to interactivity
I no longer carry it with me, indefinitely.
My diary now online, my 'blogiary'
Sentences – expressive posts, prose and poetry

My diary no longer just my own anymore
Other kindred souls write on it too, make it grow
My blogiary now converse with a voice – it is raw
Supportive feedback, offers blissful comfort and more

My blogiary and me – we have tough days, true of late
I break down at points, giving up, I stop, to contemplate
My blogiary nonetheless, lives a life of its own fate
My diary - not just MY diary anymore!

My ‘blogiary’
My blog diary
My virtual diary
My life, my journey
My future, my sanity
My online community
My strength my sanctuary
My voice, I cultivate somberly
My friends! Support me gingerly!

I become you and me, a communion
I become African, American, and Brazilian
I become Bhutanese, Burmese, and Nepalese
I become Zambian, Egyptian, and many others

This I, becomes the common eye
This voice becomes high – stops the sigh
This we, in turn become the plea – the global cry
This cry will persist, will resonate, and will not simply die
Power to the womb of you and me, him and her, all humanity

This pulse in me will throb; these words in me will flow & gush
The arteries being you, the heart World Pulse!
