HelloBEAUTIFUL  ladies,

Underline the word beautiful,i believe  no one is ugly, especially ladies. We are unique in our own ways. My definition of beauty  is confidence, , strength and ability to share not only material  stuff  but warmth ,care and love.

Many years ago I was a victim  of  internet bullying, actually I was told I was not beautiful  thus I looked like a man. I can't deny it took away my self confidence. For so long I was so withdrawn and stressed,i never wanted  to interact for the fear of being reapetedly told am ugly.

Then I met a friend who introduced a me to google and you tube(I.C.T),I learnt from people's  stories  how they boosted their confidence and accepted themselves the way they are. I have been engaging my self in productive YouTube  programs, am into recycling and quilting  blankets. This Google has become my friend.

Not long ago I was suffering  from persistent fungal and U.T.I infections. After several  visitsto the hospital   and treatments without cure, I consulted google. I learnt the preventive measures ,like changing new pants from old ones often in a year and much more.

And again through facebook  I have met thousands of people  from different  places, good ideas, positive  thinking. People who have guided me like OlUTOSIN from Nigeria  who encouraged  me into joining word pulse, to speak out my voice,a great woman in deed.

Thus I wish every girl is able to access  the internet  for good reason, just to learn different  things/good things.I.C.T is a great world to explore.

Hello Beautiful Brendah,

Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilt photo, words, and story. I totally agree, and love, your definition of beauty! I'm so sorry you had an internet bullying experience, but I'm glad that you have discovered your true beauty since then. It's also great that you have found so many good aspects about the internet, including the YouTube videos about how to make quilts. That's such a great idea. I will make sure that your post is included in the current, ICT call for stories, by the way, dear. You have a powerful story to tell.

Hope you're having a great day!

Dear, there is something so deep, in your definition of beauty, which transcends beauty itself. A beauty enduring time. Of thunder, of the lion.

The beauty of God, or Goddess, inside.

Thank you, beautiful soul.

(And, beautiful lady by the way - Internet folks are often not the best judges... :) )

Love

Mauri

Dear Mauri,
Thank you so much. I believe many people have been judged because of their looks. So to me I discovered beauty is not looks, but that special something within everyone that makes them unique. Thus yes the internet bullies I do believe they suffer from something that they want to drag everyone in it.
Thank you again Dearest Mauri.

Dear Beth,
Thanks for your good compliment. It's a hand quilted blanket made from pieces of Vitengee(african printed fibrics) wich are dumped and thought to be of no use.I pick the dumped pieces and turn it into a useful something, out of love of recycle I make this beautiful blanket.
Just as the blanket is beautiful, I believe everyone is beautiful in their own different ways.
Thanks so much Beth

Hello Cathie,
Thanks, every woman is beautiful uniquely

Hello, Brendah,

You are beautiful, and I agree with you all of us are. The only ugly people are those who cannot find beauty in others. I'm sorry you experienced cyberbullying. I'm glad you find a way to develop your confidence, and even meet Olutosin. Thank you for sharing your story, beautiful Brendah. :)

Hello Karen.
Thanks so much, yes the ugly ones are those who can't find beauty in others. Yes olutosin is my greatest inspiration she guided me into joining word pulse. I haven't met her in person but through facebook but I hope to meet her someday.your beautiful.

You are welcome, sister Brendah. Your future is bright to have sister Olutosin as an inspiration. She inspires me, too. Add me in Facebook, too, but I am not as active as I wish I could be. I opted to spend my free time on World Pulse more. But I would really be glad to be connected with you there. Thank you! :)

Hello beautiful Brendah,
As women we are so judged. Often if our faces show strength, or we wear clothing we are comfortable in, or we show physical strength, or our words are strong, we are accused of looking like men. I am so glad to see this photo of you. I see your beautiful face, your beautiful creativity in this quilt, and I read your beautiful words that speak profoundly about the true meaning of beauty. "Conventional beauty" expected of a woman is so narrowly defined. I join you and the other sisters here in throwing out all that, and looking to the heart, always. Thank you for this great post.
In sisterhood,
Tam
