Thanks so much for sharing this. I love me some Michael Moore, and I have so much respect for the coalition of progressive individuals who have continued to stand up and fight for their beliefs this week. However, it is unwise to suggest, as Moore does in checkpoint number three, that Democrats have a responsibility to " fight, resist and obstruct in the way Republicans did against President Obama every day for eight full years" because, as important as it is to resist sexist, racist and elitist policy wherever and whenever we can (and it is really, really important), it is even more important for us to across the aisle and find common ground with those who disagree with us. It is easy, almost too easy, to let our collective anger get the best of us. (I know I spent most of November 10th in the fetal position.) But anger is not an effective path forward. We learned that last Tuesday, from the millions upon millions of disenfranchised individuals who voted for Donald Trump. And I have a feeling, will learn it over and over again until we put away our pitchforks and negotiate.
Please feel free to share my posts to your network (e-mails, discussion lists, friends...) as well as to comment them. BTW I entirely agree with your remarks above.
