The “Micro-Project-Scheme” of the German missions in Pakistan, the German Embassy in Islamabad and the Consulate General in Karachi aims to improve the social and economic development of underprivileged groups of society through assisted “self-help” and vocational training projects or installations for free access and benefit of target groups.

Utilize This Offer

Eligibility Criteria:
1. The scheme is solely for organizations based in Pakistan.
2. A project that falls in the range of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
3. Your organization:
a) cannot partially or fully fund a project on its own and needs financial assistance which does not exceed the equivalent of 25.000,- euros (about 4.700.000 PKR);
b) has previous experience in project financing and administration;
c) will provide its own or third party contribution of at least 10 % of the project costs.
4. The suggested project has not begun yet and the overall financing is guaranteed.
5. For 2022 the focus is on rural projects, clean water and measures in favor of environmental protection, the responsible consumption of resources and products.
6. Companies, individuals and informal groups such as school or research groups, may NOT apply.
7. They will not consider common proposals such as tree planting drives, solar rooftop installations, water filtration plants, general public awareness campaigns.

Innovative ideas for sustainable projects are preferred.

They can have a running time of up 1 year and must be completed until 31 December 2022.

Any necessary clearance and permission of local authorities must be obtained before the start of the project.

For a pre-selection please send a concept note for 2022 by postal mail (in English or German only) to the German Embassy or Consulate General by 30 November 2021.

Friendly reminders:
1. Find and analyze open and closed grants opportunities that interest you. Try to discover:
• what they have in common, and
• how you can think ahead / plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Gather or update paperwork (certificates, attests, statements, resumes, etc.) and information usually required by calls such this one;
3. Write - baby steps... - and discuss a project draft, to validate within your group the priorities of the proposal(s) and to train your grant writing skills as well;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your proposal / project. Start NOW!
5. Do visit regularly the World Pulse website to make customized searches for grant opportunities. How?
a) Click on the Menu (left upper corner);
b) Type the name of your country in the search area (blank space); click enter;
c) Click on Filters;
d) Click on Resource;
e) Browse the results (opportunities) that will show up, by chronological order of posting;
6. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests. Yes, tell these stories too... They will enlighten and inspire your network;
