The International Community Access to Child Health (ICATCH) 2022 – 2025 Grant Cycle is designed for pediatricians and other health workers in low- and lower-middle income countries who need financial and advisory support to plan and implement a project or program that:
a) provides clinical care to children or adolescents,
provides health education for children, adolescents or parents,
b) provides training for health care providers.

Utilize This Offer

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Preliminary Applications are accepted from:
a) pediatricians, other medical doctors, surgeons, nurses, midwives, health workers, social workers, dentists, physical therapists, or anyone who provides health care or health education for children and youth such as teachers or community health workers;
b) only one per nongovernmental organization (NGO) or community group.
2. Projects must be carried out in a low- or low-middle-income country.
3. Your proposal must be in one of these five areas:
a) Physical or Developmental Disabilities in Children;
b) Childhood or Adolescent Mental Health (preschool to age 21 years);
c) Newborn Health;
d) Nutrition / Malnutrition (for infants 6 months and older through age 21 years);
e) Care of Hospitalized Children (infants to age 21 years).
4. ICATCH funding cannot be used for research projects. However, quality improvement (QI) projects may be acceptable use of ICATCH funds.
5. A Project Director and a Project Co-Director must be listed on the proposal.
6. The Project Director must live and work in or near the community where the services / training will be offered.
7. The Project Co-Director may live elsewhere.
8. Both are responsible for the direction and completion of the project.

They may accept more than one application from academic institutions and hospitals if the projects are different and are submitted by different persons.

Grant amount: US$2000 per year for 3 years, total US$6000.

All Preliminary Applications must be submitted on December 8th by 11:59 pm US Central Time (Chicago, Illinois, USA); equivalent to UTC-6 hrs; or Dec 8, 5:59 am UTC; or 06:59 am December 8, West Africa Time).

Friendly reminders:
1. Find and analyze open and closed grants opportunities that interest you. Try to discover:
• what they have in common, and
• how you can think ahead / plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Gather or update paperwork (certificates, attests, statements, resumes, letters of recommendation, etc.) and information usually required by calls such this one.
3. Write - baby steps... - and discuss a project draft, to validate within your group the priorities of the proposal(s) and to train your grant writing skills as well.
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your proposal / project. Start NOW!
5. Do visit regularly the World Pulse website to make customized searches for grant opportunities. How?
a) Click on the Menu (left upper corner);
b) Type the name of your country in the search area (blank space); click enter;
c) Click on Filters;
d) Click on Resource;
e) Browse the results (opportunities) that will show up, by chronological order of posting.
