The Chrysalis Trust makes grants for the relief of poverty and disability, and the promotion of access to shelter, education, healthcare, and water.
The geographical scope is locally in the North East of England; nationally in the UK; and internationally in developing countries.
Past awards include examples of small-scale water projects and other support for local communities in Kenya, Nepal, and elsewhere.
Most grants are under £10 thousand.

Submission deadline: midnight (GMT) on 15th May.

Applications that pass an agreed preliminary screening process are considered at a meeting of the full Board of Trustees.
Applicants will know whether or not their application has reached the final stage of the consideration process within 2 weeks of the trustees meeting.

Grants must be used for the purposes outlined in the application.
Recipients of a grant will be required to provide a report on the funded project to the trustees every 3 months of receiving the grant.

Successful applicants will be asked to sign a simple grant agreement setting out their obligations in relation to the grant.
