The High Commission of Canada in Cameroon representing Canada in Cameroon, Chad, Central African Republic and Gabon, has launched its annual call for proposals for the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI).

The CFLI is:
a) a program designed to support small-scale, high-impact projects in developing countries, which align with Global Affairs Canada’s thematic priority areas for engagement;
b) a program directed at projects conceived and designed predominantly by local partners;
c) a support to positive bilateral relations between Canada and recipient countries and their civil societies, by deepening contacts and supporting local endeavours.

All projects must align with at least one of the following CFLI thematic priorities:
1. Gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls;
2. Inclusive governance, including diversity, democracy, human rights and the rule of law;
3. Peace and security, with a focus on conflict prevention and building peace.

Utilize This Offer

Eligibility: local civil society organizations, including NGOs and other institutions at the local level. Other entities may be eligible for provided they are working with local partners and on local projects that are consistent with the objectives of the CFLI.
