The CFLI:
a) is a program designed to support small-scale, high-impact projects in developing countries, which align with Global Affairs Canada’s thematic priority areas for engagement
b) is directed at projects conceived and designed predominantly by local partners
c) also serves to support positive bilateral relations between Canada and recipient countries and their civil societies
d) grants range from $5,000 to $35,000 Canadian Dollars.

All projects must align with at least one of the following CFLI thematic priorities:
1. Gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls
2. Inclusive governance, including diversity, democracy, human rights and the rule of law
3. Peace and security, with a focus on conflict prevention and building peace
4. Growth that works for everyone, including women’s economic rights, decent jobs and entrepreneurship, investing in the poorest and most vulnerable, and safeguarding economic gains.

Projects must be completed by February 28, 2020.

Utilize This Offer

The applicant must be an established Ukrainian local community group or organization.

Proposals must be completed in English or French and submitted electronically via e-mail.

The application deadline is June 28, 2019.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply;
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills.
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!

6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others.
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests - tell these stories too. They will enlighten and inspire the sisterhood.
