The International Conference UN-SPIDER aims to contribute to the use of big space data approaches and satellite-based applications in Africa to respond to challenges posed by natural hazards.

Target Audience: Staff from national, regional, and international public and private organizations and institutions.

UN-SPIDER invites applications to participate in the conference, which will take place in Bonn (Germany).
> Only a very limited number of scholarships (round-trip ticket, room and board expenses during the duration of the event) will be available to participants.
> Life/major health insurance for each of the selected participants is necessary and is the responsibility of the candidate or his/her institution or Government.
> The organizers will not assume any responsibility for life and major health insurance, nor for expenses related to medical treatment or accidents.

Language of event: English.

The deadline for applicants seeking funding is 30 August 2019.
