The Regional Office “Dialogue Eastern Europe” of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung invites applications for the 8th edition of the Eastern European Academy for Social Democracy. It will focus on the issue of gender and equality in the Eastern Partnership Region and Russia.

The organizers strive to promote a debate about the opportunities and challenges of equal rights based politics with a strong focus on political and economic participation.
Furthermore, the seminar is meant to include a discussion of the core elements of a proper social and family policy.

Eligibility:
1. Citizenship of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Germany, Moldova, Russia or Ukraine
2. Between 25 and 35 years old
3. Fluency in English
4. Young leaders from progressive political parties or social democratic youth organizations; young members of Parliaments or city councils, junior government officials, and civic activists.

All costs related to the program will be covered by the organizers.

Applicants must be available and willing to participate in an intensive 6-day-program of discussions with top experts, politicians, and activists of gender issues from Germany and Eastern Europe.

1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply;
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills.
