The European Union (EU) is accepting proposals for a program entitled “European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) 2019 "Support to Local Civil Society Action through Country -based Support Scheme (Trinidad and Tobago)”.

The global objective of this call for proposals is to support and strengthen civil society organisations, democracy activists and human rights defenders working on critical human rights and democracy issues in Trinidad and Tobago.

The program is divided into two lots:
Lot 1: Gender Based Violence
Lot 2: Prisoner Rights/ Reform.

The lead applicant must be:
> a legal person and
> non-profit-making and
> a NGO, public sector operator, local authority or international (inter-governmental) organisation as defined by the rules of application of the EU and
> directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies).

Grant request must be minimum EUR 160,000 / maximum EUR 175,000.

The application procedure consists of two phases: a) Concept notes; b) Full applications.

Deadline: 24 July 2019 at 18:00 Brussels time.

The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted at the address given on the website

2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
