This programme:
1. will reward different journalistic projects in 2019 to cover global health topics in developing countries
2. aims to promote innovative reports in German and France media on global health in developing countries.
3. seeks to increase awareness of global health issues in society and to inform and encourage action by actors and decision makers in government and research, civil society, business and medicine, and development cooperation actors
4. aims to promote innovative media coverage in French and German media on health-related topics in developing countries.

Grants worth €15,000 on average will be awarded overall, looking to advance the coverage of international health, health policy and development issues in German and French media.

These 2 grant programmes are designed for freelancers and staff journalists with a proven track record in covering development, global health and science.

There is no citizenship, nationality or residence restriction.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply;
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills.
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!

6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others.
