The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), a component of the U.S. Dept of Justice (DOJ):
a) provides national leadership on issues of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking
b) support coordinated community responses to hold offenders accountable and serve victims.
1. provides for the establishment and operation of a national Resource Center on Workplace Responses to Victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence (Resource Center) that provides information and assistance to employers and labor organizations to aid in their efforts to develop and implement responses to such violence
2. request will be made for up to US$1 million for 24 months of activity.
a) nonprofit NGO entities or tribal organization with at least 3 years experience operating a national resource center with
b) a track record of providing training and technical assistance related to workplace violence and with
c) cost sharing: 10 percent of the project costs.
