Gered Gereedschap is a Dutch NGO which has been making a consistent effort for craftsmen and women in developing countries for the last 37 years.

Our support is
- practical, tangible and comprehensive - from tool sets and machines for schools, fully equipped sewing workshops to the education of technical vocational teachers
- directed towards one purpose: promoting technical craftsmanship as a basis for self-reliance.

1. Organisations in Uganda, Malawi, Tanzania and Ghana that promote vocational education and entrepreneurship
2. Projects in which the target group itself takes the initiative and remains active in the preparation, decision-making and implementation of the project.
Schools/projects that promote entrepreneurship and offer further support to young people after their training are greatly appreciated.

Costs of customs clearance and transport to the final destination are up to the applicant.

We also seek other organisations for cooperation.

Utilize This Offer

Prioritiy: vocational training programmes and projects that satisfy demand for the local labour market.

We offer free transport of the materials (in case of tools, machines and alike) to the nearest international port

Application deadline: Sep 30, 2019.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply;
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills.
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!
5. Visit the World Pulse website >>> My Pulse >>> Resources and use its filters (right upper corner) to find what really suits you.
6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others.
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests - tell these stories too. They will enlighten and inspire the sisterhood.
