VALUE4HER is a programme aimed at increasing value for women in agribusinesses through market access, improving knowledge, skills and networks and global advocacy aimed at addressing some of the key barriers for women’s empowerment in agriculture.

Specific objectives are to:
a) Support women agribusinesses to access competitive regional and global markets;
b) Strengthen women business leaders with skills and capacity to lead agribusinesses for higher returns;
c) Facilitate advocacy and knowledge networking on key barriers to women’s entrepreneurship.

This Innovation Grant (IG) is open to:
1. women-led agribusinesses (at least 60% of the shares held by a woman or groups of women) and
2. that are incorporated in an African country and
3, that have been in existence for at least three (3) years and
4. have an annual turnover of USD 30,000 – USD 50,000 and
5. that demonstrate the capacity to contribute to at least 10% of the total project budget (in cash or in-kind).

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills.
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!
