The Simply Organic Giving Fund strives to nourish the millions of food insecure by providing them access to healthy, organic food.

Providing nourishment and nutrition education for the food insecure, with a focus on organics, is central to the goal of the Simply Organic Giving Fund.

Successful grant applications should meet one or more of the following program priorities:
1. Promote access to organic food options;
2. Utilize and distribute organic food/meal;
3. Provide nutrition counseling and food preparation education.

Simply Organic does not fund programs or operating expenses that are politically motivated or that promote religious activities.

U.S. nonprofit (501(c)(3)) tax-exempt organizations or grassroots groups serving the food insecure are encouraged to apply.

Simply Organic Giving Fund funding runs from January – December 2020.

Successful applicants will receive a grant contract and funding allocation in January 2020.

All applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. CT on Sept. 30, 2019.

Grant applicants will be notified in January 2020.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!
5. Visit the World Pulse website >>> My Pulse >>> Resources and then use its filters (right upper corner) to find what may really suit you;
6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others;
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests; yes, tell these storiies too... - they will enlighten and inspire your network.
