Rise Against Hunger (RAH):
a) is driven by a mission to achieve global food security in line with United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 2: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture
b) supports safety net programs that provide nourishment, as well as additional skills training or services that support the difficult journey out of poverty
c) partners with NGOs that run programs that offer education or services above and beyond feeding the hungry
d) does not cover any transportation or importation costs. Each partner is responsible for covering these expenses.

Through the Nourishing Lives (NL) program, RAH provides:
1) fortified rice-soy meals packaged by volunteer groups around the world to address nutritional insecurity challenges such as chronic undernourishment
2) 40-foot shipping containers of meals to meal distribution partners around the world.

Focus: Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Haiti, and the Philippines.

Utilize This Offer

Donated meals are to be used to promote development and provide for immediate food needs, not to support political or theological agendas.
Candidate organizations will be reviewed to ensure that they are honest, responsive and reliable.

1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!
