U.S. Embassy Botswana announces “Stronger Together: Health, Prosperity, and Security” Program

All submitted proposals must address one of the three U.S. foreign policy objectives below.
1, Empowering Women and Girls – through educational, entrepreneurship, health, or professional development opportunities
2. Supporting Civil Society Organizations
3. Enabling Business Environment – best practices in business and entrepreneurship for youth and create or strengthen networking among youth entrepreneurs.

Role of the grantee: to organize logistics, present information, and host a series of events or educational/cultural sessions, each focused on at least one of the priority areas listed.

The award:
a) is open only to registered not-for-profit groups, associations, non-governmental organizations, faith- or community-based organizations. The groups must be well established, operating for at least one year, and have a history of accomplishments
b) funding is up to $25,000 / project (inclusive of venue, travel, speaker, media, refreshment or any other fees).

Utilize This Offer

Project duration: 12 months.

This call has 4 rounds per year: March, June, September, December.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!
5. Visit the World Pulse website >>> My Pulse >>> Resources and then use its filters (right upper corner) to find what may really suit you;
6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others;
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests; yes, tell these storiies too... - they will enlighten and inspire your network.
