The U.S. Embassy in Oslo:
a) would like to increase media literacy in Norway
b) seeks to partner with a Norwegian organization to co-host a regional seminar on media literacy in Nordic countries for journalists and government public affairs representatives, and related professional, to include a session open to the public
c) aims to create a set of online media literacy tools that will lead to audiences being able to more easily differentiate between fact-based information and information that is of poor quality and/or intended to cause harm to democratic processes.
Goals of the project
1. Strengthen the understanding of U.S. system of governance, through innovative, episodic digital content for the target demographic (youth in Norway age 15-21)
2. Use short video formats as a means of reaching youth with engaging and innovative content that is both appropriate and entertaining.
Applicants must register in the U.S. Government’s “System for Award Management” (SAM) database.
