The Awards aim to:
a) assist primary producers to develop more competitive, technologically adaptive and self reliant industries
b) advance the careers of successful applicants through national recognition and funding of their research ideas
c) encourage participation and uptake of science, innovation and technology in rural industries
d) attract innovative research proposals that will lead to longer term innovation in the sector
e) improve the connection between research and on-farm application with practical benefit.

Applicants must be:
1) between the ages of 18 and 35 on 4 October 2019
2) Australian citizens or documented permanent residents by 4 October 2019
3) working, employed or studying in an agriculture, fisheries or forestry related industry,

There are eleven industry Science Award categories open for application.
Each category includes a $22,000 grant,

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!
5. Visit the World Pulse website >>> My Pulse >>> Resources and then use its filters (right upper corner) to find what may really suit you;
6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others;
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests; yes, tell these storiies too... - they will enlighten and inspire your network.
