Funding Call to boost Opportunities for Disadvantaged Children within UK

The Ironmongers’ Company:
- is particularly interested in enabling primary age children to develop a strong foundation for the future;
- supports projects that make a recognizable difference, therefore preference will be given to requests where the grant would cover a significant element of the cost and to those from smaller orgamosations.

1. Grants are only given to registered charities in the UK;
2. Projects must:
a) target children and young people under the age of 25 who are disadvantaged;
b) consist of educational activities that develop learning, motivation and skills;
c) have clear aims and objectives to be met within a planned timescal;
d) be within the UK.

The average grant awarded is £4,000.

Grants must be spent within twelve months from the date of the award.

Recipients are expected to submit a written evaluation report within three months from completion of the project.

Utilize This Offer

Projects that deliver clearly defined educational benefits to a specific group of children or young people in the UK are welcome.

The Company’s Grant Application Summary sheet must be completed by applicant organizations.

1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!
