The contest is part of the Rural Youth Innovation Award in Latin America and the Caribbean, an IFAD initiative to identify, award and promote innovative youth-led initiatives in the region.

We are looking for images that show young people engaged in rural areas in the region, especially with a focus on innovative practices and solutions. We will be selecting the winning entries based on originality, creativity, and connection with the theme. Be creative!

Read the entry conditions carefully
Complete the signed image use authorisation form
Write a brief description of the photograph (5-10 lines)

The winners will have the opportunity to win a trip to join the award ceremony of the Rural Youth Innovation Award.
Ten selected photos will also be exhibited during the official ceremony of the Rural Youth Innovation Award in June 2020.
The top three winners will have the opportunity to receive training in digital communications and an expenses paid trip to the ceremony.

To enter you should be between 18 and 35 years old and be a national and resident in a Latin American or Caribbean country.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!
5. Visit the World Pulse website >>> My Pulse >>> Resources and then use its filters (right upper corner) to find what may really suit you;
6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others;
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests; yes, tell these storiies too... - they will enlighten and inspire your network.
