The SDSN Youth´s 2020 Local Pathways Fellowship program is one of the world’s leading training and research programs on SDG11 for young urban leaders.

The core component of the Fellowship is a practically-oriented training program, which is designed to enable young urban innovators to take local actions for the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda in their localities by:
a) Guiding and informing their advocacy and outreach work
b) Providing them with a framework for engagement with local stakeholders
c) Facilitating mutual learning and exchange of urban solutions; and
d) Supporting their efforts to promote local understanding, dialogue and problem-solving for sustainable development.

Applicants must:
1) Be between 18 and 30 yrs old
2) Be based in the same city throughout the Fellowship (Jan-Nov 2020)
3) Demonstrate commitment to working toward urban sustainable development
3) Have a minimum of one year of professional or academic experience in the area.

1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!

6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others;
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests; yes, tell these storiies too... - they will enlighten and inspire your network.
