IWMF is currently accepting applications for its Women Deliver Reporting Grants to address the need for reporting and increased media coverage of women and girls as agents of positive change in developing countries.

This initiative is funded by Women Deliver, a global advocacy organization that champions gender equality and the health and rights of girls and women.

The IWMF encourages applications from independent and staff journalists.

Applicants to this initiative are required to submit a publishing plan with news outlets from the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States.

The estimate of each grant size (to be awarded to individuals or teams) will range from $3,000 to $10,000.

Woman-identifying journalists from anywhere in the world are eligible to apply.

Applicants must have three or more years of professional journalism experience.

The deadline for application is February 16, 2020.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!
5. Visit the World Pulse website >>> My Pulse >>> Resources and then use its filters (right upper corner) to find what may really suit you;
6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others;
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests; yes, tell these storiies too... - they will enlighten and inspire your network.
