Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi):
> is a platform to align country-level reforms and private investment;
> aims to address financial and non-financial constraints faced by women-owned/led small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in countries/territories that are eligible for Official Development Assistance (ODA);
> seeks proposals that demonstrate comprehensive and strategic approaches to leveraging strategic partnerships and use of results-based mechanisms to support the growth and impact of women’s entrepreneurship.

Priority themes:
a) Women-led SMEs in Value Chains;
b) Disruptive Technologies and Digital Financial Inclusion for Women-led SMEs;
c) Scaling Early Stage Finance for Women-led SMEs.

Eligible funding proposals must be:
1) submitted by accredited multilateral development banks (MDBs);
2) for global/regional, multi-country, and single country programs/projects.

The minimum threshold for a We-Fi funding request is USD 10 million.

Utilize This Offer

We-Fi can finance programs or projects in ODA-eligible countries and territories that are eligible to receive funding from the IBRD and/or IDA.

Final proposals must be received by midnight EST on March 30, 2020.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and attests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your proposal/project. Start now!!!

6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others;
