The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB): Call for Innovation to Save Women’s Lives from Cancer

The IsDB and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have partnered to launch an urgent call for innovation to find and reward solutions for strengthening national health systems in the area of breast and cervical cancer prevention.

This can include early detection, diagnosis and treatment by expanding and scaling-up capacities for effective, safe and sustainable cancer services.

The applicant is expected to submit the application to any of the two categories:
a) Low cost early detection and diagnostic solutions;
b) Capacity building projects. (such as training, awareness campaigns, research centres, etc).

The application must be accompanied by detailed information demonstrating, among others, the requested information and supported by illustrative media means.

Prizes of USD $50,000 each will be awarded to 4 winners across two categories – early detection solutions and capacity building projects.

The prize shall also include a certificate of recognition.

Eligibility: scientists, Innovators, SMEs, Private Firms, NGOs, Governments and Academic or Research and Development Institutions around the world, which have project proposals that innovatively contribute to the 3 thematic areas.
