The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation invite proposals for implementation and/or evaluation grants under our the program “Swashakt: Empowering women through collective based approaches.”

Under this programme, we will consider funding proposals for:
a) the implementation and evaluation of an intervention;
b) the evaluation of an intervention that has secured implementation funding; or
c) implementation only, with evaluation teams to be matched to implementing teams by 3ie.

Proposals that aim to expand and increase economic returns; build women’s leadership; and expand technical and business strength of existing women’s collective enterprises are particularly welcome.

3ie will provide funding of up to USD 1 million for selected implementation and evaluation projects, which are to be completed in three years.

Only legally registered organisations and consortia of registered organisations, not individuals, may apply.

India-based organisations should have Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) registration so as to be able to receive dollar-denominated grants.

For-profit organisations are eligible to apply and are restricted to the same indirect cost limits as non-profit organisations. They may not charge a fee.

3ie will provide funding of up to US$1 million for selected implementation and evaluation projects with a duration of up to 3 years.

India-based nonprofit and for-profit organizations and consortia are eligible to apply. They may not charge a fee.

The deadline for submitting proposals has been extended and is now 30 April 2020.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and attests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your proposal/project. Start now!!!
5. Visit the World Pulse website >>> My Pulse >>> Resources and then use its filters (right upper corner) to find what may really suit you;
6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others;
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests. Yes, tell these stories too... - they will enlighten and inspire your network.
