ISAR Unity invites Ukranian CSOs to participate in a New Grant Competition

The competition is part of the Ukrainian Civil Society Sectoral Support Initiative, implemented by ISAR Unity in partnership with the Ukrainian Independent Center for Political Studies (UCIPR) and the Center for Democracy and the Rule of Law (CEDEM) with the support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development.

The Initiative aims to achieve three main goals:
a) Strengthen the institutional capacity of CSOs;
b) Improve the legal environment for civil society;
c) Improve research and study of industry challenges, opportunities, and best practices of civil society.

Eligibiliy criteria:
1. Organizations that are officially registered in accordance with the laws of Ukraine “On public associations” or “On charitable activities and charities organizations”;
2. Organizations that are included in the “Register of non-profit organizations” with the appropriate sign of unprofitability (exclusively 0032, 0034, 0036, 0038, 0048).

The overall goal of the Initiative is to increase the self-reliance of the public sector Ukraine by improving the environment of civic activity society and strengthening the institutional capacity of civil society organizations society (CSO).

The maximum amount of grants under this competition is the hryvnia equivalent of USD 50,000.

fFriendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and attests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your proposal/project. Start now!!!
5. Visit the World Pulse website >>> My Pulse >>> Resources and then use its filters (right upper corner) to find what may really suit you;
6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others;
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests. Yes, tell these stories too... They will enlighten and inspire your network.
