Because International is seeking applications for the 2021 Social Innovation Competition – an opportunity for entrepreneurs to develop their idea and connect with an entrepreneurial network.

The competition’s goal is “to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with tangible resources that turn their ideas into a reality in ways that make a positive difference in the world.”

Apply for a chance to win seed money and a spot in Because International's Pursuit Incubator accelerator program!

Utilize This Offer

We are looking for innovative people (also students) to submit an idea for a product that helps solve a social challenge in the world.

Once submitted, participants are eligible for a chance to win seed money ($1,000) and a spot in Because International’s Pursuit Incubator!

Also, even if the ideas are in the brainstorming phase, we encourage people to apply - the stage you’re in matters less than the idea.

The point is we want this to be a low-effort and low-cost experience for those innovators just willing to test out some of their ideas in this space!

Anyone of any age from anywhere is encouraged to apply to this competition.

How to Apply:
1) Design a Product that solves a Social Challenge;
2) Apply to the Competition;
3) Connect with Social Entrepreneurs and Innovators.

Submission deadline: 20 December 2020.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and attests usually required by calls such this one);
3. Write (baby steps...) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your proposal/project. Start now!!!
5. Don't forget to visit regularly the World Pulse website and:
a) Go to Menu (left upper corner);
b) Click on Explore Topics OR Explore Regions;
c) Type the name of your country in the Search space;
d) Then search for offers that may suit you;
6. Share the opportunities that do not apply to you but can interest others;
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests. Yes, tell these stories too... They will enlighten and inspire your network.
