Sub-Grant Scheme Cycle LOT 1: Support of multilingual projects awarding 12-15 small grants to CSOs from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey (the target is approximately 2-3 sub-grants per country).

The Open Call 1 Support of multilingual projects in five countries aims to support the regional diffusion of work from target countries.

The purpose of this effort is expected to be for translation, in combination with presentation and promotion of regional literature.

The support from this project will supplement and significantly scale-up the interregional translation of authors from Western Balkan and Turkey.

Utilize This Offer

The Open Call 1 Support of multilingual projects in five countries aims to support the regional diffusion of work from target countries.

Eligible activities for this Call for Applications include bur are not limited to:
a) Translation, publication, distribution and promotion of a regional literature;
b) Projects that have a regional dimension;
c) Translation, publication, distribution and promotion books as a package, based on a sound and defined editorial strategy.

Applicant organisations must be:
1. Non-profit making civil society organizations;
2. Directly responsible for the preparation and management of the project with co-applicant(s);
3. Registered in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Serbia or Turkey for at least 6 months before the date of publication of the call (23rd of December, 2020);
4. Working on one or more of the thematic areas of relevance of this Call for Proposals.

Maximum sub-grant amount per applicant is EUR 2.000.

Projects may not be implemented longer than 9 months.

Deadline: 10-Feb-21.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and attests usually required by calls such this one);
3. Write - baby steps... - and discuss a project draft, to validate within your group the priorities of the project and also to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your proposal/project. Start now!!!
5. Do visit regularly the World Pulse website to make customized searches for grant opportunities. How?
a) Click on the Menu (left upper corner);
b) Type the name of your country in the search area (blank space); click enter;
c) Click on Filters;
d) Click on Resource;
e) Browse the results (opportunities), that will show up, by chronological order.
6. Share the opportunities that do not apply to you but can interest others;
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests. Yes, tell these stories too... They will enlighten and inspire your network;
