In collaboration with Women Have Wings, the NGO CSW Youth Leaders & Young Professionals is delighted to make grant awards to youth leaders and young professionals who have a project or an idea to advance gender equality in their region.

Projects will be displayed on the NGO CSW65 Virtual Platform.

This call information is available in English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Chinese.

Utilize This Offer

Applicant organizations must be registered in their country or have a fiscal sponsor who is registered.

Priority will be given to young people in the Global South.

No US based organizations are eligible.

Your application must address one of the following themes:
a) Advocacy – What is the future of advocacy for gender equality?
b) Grassroots Projects – Projects that advance gender equality at the grassroots that need seed money;
c) Technology and Arts – Building platforms on gender issues that amplify youth voices in national and international spaces.

Five $5,000 grants will be awarded to youth-led organizations or organizations with projects to advance young feminists’ work.

Individual youth leaders (between ages 18 to 40 years old at the time of submission) can be highlighted, but the grants must go to their organizations.

Deadline for submissions is 1 March 2021, midnight EST.

Five winners will be announced on 26 March 2021 during the NGO CSW65 Virtual Forum at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you, in order to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and attests usually required by calls such this one);
3. Write - baby steps... - and discuss a project draft, to validate within your group the priorities of the project and to train your grant writing skills as well;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your proposal/project. Start now!!!
5. Do visit regularly the World Pulse website to make customized searches for grant opportunities. How?
a) Click on the Menu (left upper corner);
b) Type the name of your country in the search area (blank space); click enter;
c) Click on Filters;
d) Click on Resource;
e) Browse the results (opportunities) that will show up, by chronological order of posting;
6. Share the opportunities that do not apply to you but can interest others;
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests. Yes, tell these stories too... They will enlighten and inspire your network;
