The U.S. Embassy Tokyo’s Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to empower women and work toward gender equality trilaterally, deepening U.S.-Japan-Republic of Korea (ROK) cooperation.

Research shows that equal access to economic opportunities for women leads to more inclusive, sustainable growth.

Yet the barriers women face when entering, rising through the ranks, and retaining their positions remain much higher, compared to their male counterparts.

This leaves women unemployed, underemployed, or dramatically underrepresented in many sectors in the U.S., Japan, and the ROK.
