The U.S. Embassy in Tirana, Albania, announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications for the Democracy Commission Small Grants Program.
The Democracy Commission Small Grants Program, administered by the Public Affairs Section, is soliciting proposals from non-governmental organizations in Albania that focus on the following priority areas:
• Good Governance;
• Investigative Journalism;
• Human Rights/Minority Rights;
• Empowerment of Women and Youth;
• Combatting Human Trafficking;

Only Albanian not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations are eligible to apply.
In order to be eligible to receive an award, all organizations must have a unique entity identifier (Data Universal Numbering System/DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet), as well as a valid registration on SAM.gov
Length of performance period: six to twelve months.
Award amounts: up to USD$24,000.
Closing Date for Applications: March 04, 2021.
