Stop Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence!

The Ray Solem Foundation is seeking applications for its grant program to organizations throughout the United States that very creatively help immigrants in the United States become productive and valued members of society.

The Ray Solem Foundation will NOT consider grants to the following types of organizations or for the following purposes:
• Individuals;
• Operational deficits;
• Religious organizations for explicit religious activities, as distinguished from social or educational activities;
• Partisan activities;
• Fraternal organizations, labor, societies, or other;
• National fund-raising efforts;
• 501(c)(4) organizations or lobbying activities;
• Organizations whose overhead percentage is more than 20% of total expenses;
• Brand-new projects that have not yet been piloted.

Utilize This Offer

The current priority for funding will be given to organizations focused on immigrants that help victims of human trafficking and domestic violence and / or unaccompanied immigrant youth.

Grants are made for one (1) year only.

Priority is given to applicants with incomes under $1 million.

The maximum grant award is USD$10,000.

Applicants may re-apply in each new funding cycle.

Applications are due no later than April 26 of the current calendar year.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you, in order to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and attests usually required by calls such this one);
3. Write - baby steps... - and discuss a project draft, to validate within your group the priorities of the proposal(s) and to train your grant writing skills as well;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your proposal / project. Start now!!!
5. Do visit regularly the World Pulse website to make customized searches for grant opportunities. How?
a) Click on the Menu (left upper corner);
b) Type the name of your country in the search area (blank space); click enter;
c) Click on Filters;
d) Click on Resource;
e) Browse the results (opportunities) that will show up, by chronological order of posting;
6. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests. Yes, tell these stories too... They will enlighten and inspire your network;
7. Share the opportunities that do not apply to you but can interest others;
