The Government of Victoria is pleased to announce the 2021 Grant Program to support Multicultural and Faith Communities to Prevent Family Violence.

The program consists of 2 streams:
Stream 1:
Up to $200,000 (excluding GST) per year for organizations with demonstrated experience in primary prevention and/or early intervention of family violence and/or all forms of violence against women.
Stream 2:
Up to $100,000 (excluding GST) per year for organizations with new or limited experience in primary prevention and/or early intervention of family violence?and/or all forms of violence against women.

Utilize This Offer

This grant program is aimed at:
1. Organizations working with multicultural and faith communities in Victoria, including but not limited to:
a) ethno-specific organizations;
b) faith-based organizations; and
c) institutions that are part of a multicultural community;
d) settlement organizations;
e) family violence primary prevention and early intervention organizations;
2. Organizations with established experience in prevention of family violence and all forms of violence against women from multicultural and faith communities (for Stream 1);
3. Organizations with new or limited experience in the prevention of family violence and / or violence against women (for Stream 2);
4. Organizations with a current Australian Business Number (ABN);
5. Incorporated associations and cooperatives, not-for-profit groups, social enterprises.

Organizations can propose any type of primary prevention of family violence and all forms of violence against women and / or early intervention activity with multicultural and faith communities.

Applications will close 21 April 2021 at 2 pm.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you, in order to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and attests usually required by calls such this one);
3. Write - baby steps... - and discuss a project draft, to validate within your group the priorities of the proposal(s) and to train your grant writing skills as well;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your proposal / project. Start now!!!
5. Do visit regularly the World Pulse website to make customized searches for grant opportunities. How?
a) Click on the Menu (left upper corner);
b) Type the name of your country in the search area (blank space); click enter;
c) Click on Filters;
d) Click on Resource;
e) Browse the results (opportunities) that will show up, by chronological order of posting;
6. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests. Yes, tell these stories too... They will enlighten and inspire your network;
7. Share the opportunities that do not apply to you but can interest others;
