The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a call for proposals for the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to inter alia:
• develop quality standards, in addition to the existing licensing standards, for shelters that accommodate victims of DV and other forms of VAWG based on a gendered understanding of VAW;
• enable the empowerment of victims and a victim-centred and integrated approach to service provision;
• provide protocols and procedures for health safety measures, including procedures for testing prior to accommodation in shelters or separate premises for newly admitted women before they are tested for COVID-19.
Technical support will be provided by UN Women in regard to the development of supporting cooperation framework and enabling sustainable modalities of cooperation between shelters, local self-governments, and partnerships with relevant ministries.
Moreover, UN Women will support the CSO in preparing and submitting quarterly and final reports and will provide feedback to the CSO during and after each activity to ensure continuous improvement and meaningful impact.

Technical / functional competencies required:
a) Proven experience in promoting and strengthening the general and specialist services for women in situation of violence;
b) Proven experience in advocacy and capacity building engagement on the Istanbul Convention and CEDAW standards;
c) Experience in directly providing services to women survivors of violence, particularly women victims of sexual violence;
d) Focusing on the empowerment of women and using a gender specific approach is required.
The budget for this proposal should be up to USD 85,000.
The project is expected to be carried out within the months of June 2021 and December 2022 (18 months).
