The North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) has opened the search to find 30 game-changing leaders under 30 years of age who are using environmental education to build a sustainable future for all.

To address today’s complex challenges, we need a diversity of perspectives, skills, and experiences, which is the power of this program. EE 30 Under 30 celebrates the unique and passionate leadership of talented young leaders around the world and gives them a professional boost to increase their impact.

Since 2016, NAAEE’s EE 30 Under 30 program has recognized 150 individuals from 34 countries who are making a difference through EE.

This program is made possible by the Global Environmental Education Partnership, Wells Fargo, and the U.S. Forest Service.

We know that environmental education AND leadership take many different forms. Recognizing the complexity of achieving a sustainable and equitable future, we welcome applicants from across sectors and disciplines.

We look forward to hearing from you about your (or your nominee's) unique role in creating sustainable change in our communities.

Nominees must be 30 years old or under (as of December 31, 2021) and demonstrate proven leadership using environmental education in any way.

EE 30 Under 30 celebrates the unique and passionate leadership of talented young leaders around the world and gives them a professional boost to increase their impact.

The EE 30 Under 30 Class of 2021 will receive global recognition for their work and join a growing alumni community of inspiring EE leaders, with ongoing opportunities for professional development and networking.

They will join the global EE 30 Under 30 community of leaders, and will receive ongoing support to expand their impact through networking, peer mentoring, professional development, and grant opportunities. We are thrilled to help these inspiring leaders share their stories and work with our community and beyond.

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you, in order to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and attests usually required by calls such this one);
3. Write - baby steps... - and discuss a project draft, to validate within your group the priorities of the proposal(s) and to train your grant writing skills as well;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your proposal / project. Start now!!!
5. Do visit regularly the World Pulse website to make customized searches for grant opportunities. How?
a) Click on the Menu (left upper corner);
b) Type the name of your country in the search area (blank space); click enter;
c) Click on Filters;
d) Click on Resource;
e) Browse the results (opportunities) that will show up, by chronological order of posting;
6. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests. Yes, tell these stories too... They will enlighten and inspire your network;
7. Share the opportunities that do not apply to you but can interest others;
